Jim Rohn, author and speaker said, “You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction.”
It’s true; we are in control of our actions and behaviors and that can change our outcomes.
Our growth and development is a personal decision. It reminds me of Charlie Brown in the Peanuts comic strip who once said, “I think I’ve discovered the secret of life – you just hang around until you get used to it.” The reality is that we don’t improve by simply living. We must be intentional about it.
Personal growth doesn’t just happen on its own. We need to take ownership of our own growth and development. After all, who else should be in charge?
Also, when we are growing, we are better positioned to make a difference in the lives we touch.
The challenge for all of us is to keep learning, keep growing and keep getting better. When we do, we create a better future for ourselves and the people in our life we care the most for.
We are approaching the Thanksgiving holiday season, and all of us have so much to be grateful for, let’s all be mindful of our many blessings.
