I have learned one of the best ways to measure leaders is by whether their people are growing and improving.  Who in your organization is growing people? Who is playing caretaker? It is possible for leaders to have increased sales and production by simply just adding bodies. I have found however, it is best to determine their effectiveness by the growth of their people.

We should always be looking for quality people to add to our team. In many cases the good people we are looking for are right under our nose. Have you set clear expectations? Equipped them with the tools and skills that are necessary to succeed? Have you given them fast and frequent feedback on their performance? It is a good practice to start with what we have. Remember, people growth = organizational growth.
